Spend a fun, easy hour at the Art Spot in Silverthorne making your own fabric - with NO mess!
All ages are welcome at this class, where we lay flowers and plants on natural cotton fabric in a pattern of your choice. There is no “wrong way”!
We cover the floral design with contact paper to hold it in place, then use rocks and our own muscles to crush the plants and flowers into the fabric.
This unique process expresses the natural dyes of the plant material into the fabric, leaving a watercolor-esque effect.
And yes - it is washable! Use it as a bandanna, a scarf, a handkerchief, or, if you have a knack for sewing, turn it into a pillowcase or tote bag.
All materials are included and no experience is required, including a square of durable, recycled cotton - but you are welcome to bring any other…
